If the project area can potentially support special-status plant species, an agency-approved biologist will conduct a survey for special-status plant species within 1 year prior to commencement of grounddisturbing activities. Surveys should follow USFWS’s General Rare Plant Survey Guidelines (USFWS 2002); and CDFW’s Protocols for Surveying and Evaluating Impacts to Special Status Native Plant Populations and Sensitive Natural Communities (2018) or their most recent equivalents.
