Vegetation clearing within 200 feet of suitable giant garter snake aquatic habitat will be confined to the minimal area necessary to facilitate construction activities and protect giant garter snake. Movement of heavy equipment will be confined to the construction footprint, existing roadways, and temporary construction access roads established during construction. In coordination with the USFWS-Approved Biologist, high-use areas should be cleared to reduce cover for giant garter snake, and vegetation in other areas should be
protected.
