Restoration of Stream Banks left Barren of Vegetation

Any stream bank area left barren of vegetation as a result of the implementation or maintenance of the erosion control practices shall be restored to a natural state by seeding, planting, or other means with native trees, shrubs, or grasses prior to November 15 of the project year, or later depending on rainfall, with the approval of NMFS. Barren areas shall typically be planted with a combination of willow stakes, native shrubs and trees and/or erosion control grass mixes. Irrigation may also be required in order to ensure survival of containerized shrubs or trees.
