Posted speed limit signs will be observed on local roads and a 15-mph speed limit will be observed within 200 feet of suitable giant garter snake habitat, unless measures have been taken to exclude giant garter snake from the work area, and confirmed by the USFWS-Approved Biologist. Drivers will stop for snakes on the roadway and wait for the snake to leave on its own or drive around, completely avoiding the snake.
