To avoid adverse effects to nesting plovers and dependent young, proposed work in project Action Areas that include suitable plover habitat should occur during the plover’s nonbreeding season (i.e., between 1 October and 28 February, or through February 29 in a leap year). If work during the breeding season (i.e., between March 1 and September 30) is required, additional monitoring and avoidance measures shall be followed (see measure WSP-5).
