For projects that would affect all, or the majority of, a large aquatic habitat feature where snakes may need to be relocated following the installation of WEF around the aquatic area and the construction footprint, any giant garter snakes observed in the construction zone will be captured and relocated by a USFWS-Approved Biologist. If a giant garter snake is observed in the dewatered area, then the USFWS-Approved Biologist will capture and release the snake following a USFWS-Approved snake relocation plan.
